This is an invaluable collection of writings by the greatest names at the Pikler Institute: Judit Falk, Anna Tardos, Maria Vincze, and Éva Kálló, on many of the major topics of the Pikler Approach such as gross motor development, feeding, dressing, the importance of person-oriented adult-child relationship, and cooperation. In addition, there is a detailed description of the special ‘responsible caregiver’ system developed with the aim of providing maximum security to infants at the Institute. The book also includes Anna Tardos’s beautiful piece on the “hands of the caregiver’, and a whole chapter from Emmi Pikler’s book Give Me Time, available in German.
