Originally a high school teacher, Éva Kálló began her career at the Pikler Institute in 1970. During her 40 years at the Institute, she worked as a group pedagogue, taught developmental and educational psychology at the Pikler Caregivers’ Training in Hungary and the Pikler House’s international trainings as well. She considered herself as primarily a practical professional, but she did important research on institutional education, too. She regularly gave talks at conferences, authored and co-authored books and helped produce educational videos.
